Workshop Location

We found a real goodie for you there, folks! The workshops will take place at the TU-Sportzentrum at Dovestraße in Central-Berlin (Charlottenburg). This building complex combines five dance halls under one roof equipped with everything a dancer dreams of! Finest wooden flooring throuout all the halls, three of them lined with mirrors. All feature first-class sound equipment! Clean changing rooms with showers and lockers in several places throughout the location are also available (please bring your own lock!!). The location is connected to public transportation with busses stopping only 20 meters away. It can be reached both from Berlin main station and station Zoologischer Garten within only a few minutes. Enjoy the close proximity to the canal as it invites for sunny lunch breaks by the water! For location pictures please check here.

Traveling to Berlin

Berlin has excellent connections if you wish to travel by train or comfortably fly into Germany’s capital. From the main train station it is only about 15 minutes by bus to the main festival location, the train station Zoologischer Garten is even closer.
For those of you considering taking a flight to Berlin, try and choose Airport Tegel (TXL) as your destination as it connects to Zoologischer Garten within 15 to 20 minutes via an express shuttle bus. The connection from there to the workshop location is excellent.

Hotels

Berlin has many hotels suitable for every budget, however, we recommend lodging either around the station Zoologischer Garten or the main station as both have great connecting bus lines to our workshop location. Please contact us if you have further questions.

Berlin is worth a visit!

For those of you wanting to extend their stay for a little sight seeing, make sure you dont miss those major sights! Staying near the main train station also means staying near the Deutscher Bundestag, which is where the german government is located. Also in close range you will find the Brandenburg Gate, many museums and shopping avenues as well as the Tiergarten (beautiful and huge park!) and the Holocaust Memorial. Take a stroll down Unter den Linden right past the Berlin Cathedral to Alexanderplatz and visit the Radio Tower of former East Berlin for a breathtaking view over the city! Also around the station Zoologischer Garten the city has much to offer. World renowned shopping opportunities at the Ku’damm (Kurfuerstendamm), the Berlin Zoo and maybe the best connected public transportation hub to go anywhere in Berlin! Please consult local tourist information centres and websites for more information as there are still tons of major and also interesting smaller sights to see!

The ¡Agua! Berlin Team is looking forward to welcome you!
